En effet, comme pour le serveur d\u2019application, le client lourd charge ses donn\u00e9es en cache pour acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer les calculs. Ainsi plus le volume de donn\u00e9es charg\u00e9es sera important (nombre de projet et d\u2019objets par projets), plus les besoins de m\u00e9moire vive seront \u00e9lev\u00e9s.<\/p><p>A titre d\u2019exemple, de base le chargement d\u2019un client lourd avec un param\u00e9trage Processes standard va n\u00e9cessiter plusieurs centaines de Mo. Cette consommation a d\u2019ailleurs augment\u00e9 entre la SP1 et la SP3.<\/p><p>On comprend donc qu\u2019il faudra imp\u00e9rativement avoir une machine avec plusieurs Go de RAM libre si l\u2019on veut faire fonctionner un client lourd sans rencontrer ce genre de probl\u00e8me.<\/p><p>Cependant, au-del\u00e0 de la RAM totale disponible sur la machine, 2 probl\u00e8mes peuvent encore appara\u00eetre :<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u2192 Limitation de la taille du processus Planisware opx2.exe standard<br \/>\u2192 Limitation de la taille du processus sous Windows 32 bits.<\/p><p><strong>1) Limitation de la taille du processus Planisware opx2.exe standard<\/strong><br \/>Lorsque l\u2019on installe une version standard du client lourd (sans le serveur d\u2019application) les binaires Planisware sont brid\u00e9s \u00e0 une utilisation de 800 Mo de RAM en 32 bits et \u00e0 un peu plus d\u20191 Go en 64 bits. Ainsi, si le client lourd a besoin de plus de RAM il va renvoyer une erreur.<\/p><p>Par ailleurs, pour contourner cette limitation il sera n\u00e9cessaire de remplacer le binaire \u00ab opx2.dxl \u00bb par le fichier \u00ab intranet.dxl \u00bb d\u2019une installation d\u2019un Planisware Application Server en le renommant en \u00ab opx2.dxl \u00bb. Il n\u2019y aura alors plus de limitation de la taille du processus client lourd autre que celles que peut imposer l\u2019OS.<\/p><p><strong>2) Limitation de la taille du processus sous Windows 32 bits<\/strong><br \/>Sous Windows 32 bits la taille maximale (en RAM) d\u2019un processus Planisware Pro est limit\u00e9e \u00e0 moins d\u20191Go (g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement environ 800 Mo). Au-del\u00e0, on aura une erreur du type \u00ab\u00a0The operating system will not make the space available because the address space reserved for the heap could not be increased.\u201d<\/p><p>Ainsi, pour utiliser un client lourd sur une application contenant beaucoup de donn\u00e9es (particuli\u00e8rement sous P5 SP3), il est fortement recommand\u00e9 d\u2019utiliser un poste client poss\u00e9dant un OS 64 bits si on veut \u00e9viter les plantages du client lourd li\u00e9s aux limitations de RAM.<\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Note<\/span> : attention pour que le client lourd soit install\u00e9 en 64 bits on utilise le setup d\u2019installation standard que l\u2019on d\u00e9roulera sur un poste 64 bits.
